First Week of Classes

So I was offically done with my first week of this semester as of 12:30 yesterday afternoon! Its been a way good week and Im excited for all of my classes! I have...

Mass Media (MWF; 3cr): Its at 7:45 in the stinking morning but I like the teacher and so I think that it will be fine and I'll be able to get up for every class. Its going to be a project based class with only three tests I think he said so thats exciting!

Money Management (MWF; 3cr): So this class is for my minor and Im not all that stoekd about it. Our teacher is really supposed to be teaching religion but got put in this class like a week before school started which would be fine except for one of the first things she said to us was "I know I sound like a ditz but Im really not." She apparently comes from a family of all beauty pagent winners and you can tell. She's nice enough but like the 1st day she just intorduced herself and she showed us like 50 pics of her cat. And then the 2nd day we went over the syllabus and she was sooo disorganized!! Its going to drive me insane!!! OH AND I can't bring my laptop to class! We have a laptop initiative here at school so everyone has to have one and I cant bring it to class. But whatever it should still be an easy class.

Teachings of the Living Prophets (MW 2cr): This calss should be interesting...I've only had one day of it so I dont really know all that much about the syllabus b/c it was confusing when he was talking about it and I haven't had a chance to read it over myself yet. Soo we shall see, I should be able to pull off an "A" though.

Spanish 102 (MTWT 4cr): Man this is going to be a hard class. Not only do I have to learn all new stuff but I have to remember everything that I learned last semester in 101. Im afarid. But luckily I have the same teacher and so I dont have to get a new syllabus and all that.

Visual Media (TT 3cr): I am soo excited for this class! Its a hybrid class which is why its 3credits but only 2 hours but I am going to learn how to do sooo many things with graphic design its going to be soo much fun!!

I also have iComm (a practicum course) but we havent had a meeting yet so I havent figured out any of my groups or anything yet.

AND better then all that I went on a date last night...well sort of. Heather's brother Jacob is here and he is super cute! And so last night we were all watching a movie at my house before he and some of the guys were going to go to this comedy improv thing on campus when all of the sudden he looked at me and asked me if I wanted to go! I was the only girl but he did pay for me so I think Im gonna count it. But it was soo much fun! He really knows how to talk to girls and keep things fun and light which I really like. So hopefully something happens there!

But regardless of what happens this semester is going to be great! Im soo excited about my roommates and all my new friends that they brought from Arkansas with them!

Home and Back Again

Well I spent the last three weeks at home for Christmas Break. Emily and Bobby came down for Christmas and it was all really fun. While I was at home I guess I came to really appreciate the concept of family and not just my own but the friends that have become my family back home. There is really no feeling like it in the world to be able to just be with the people you love and that love you in return.
It was really the best holiday/break/vacation home that I've had in a while so thanks to everyone who made it so special.

Im now back in Rexburg where the first thing I see when I walk out the door is a HUGE mound of snow! Its pretty exciting to say the least...and Im looking forward to the day when its all gone. Oh and by the way yesterday, guess who got the first fall of the winter. Yep that was me! Woohoo!

But Im way excited about this semester. I'm taking 16 creidt hours. Spanish 102 (4), Mass Media (3), Visual Media (3), Money Management (3), Teachings of the Living Prophets (2) and iComm (1). Its going to be a really busy but fun semester.

I am rooming with the girls from Arkansas again along with one addition to our group Kristen. Shes a first semester freshmen and really sweet and quite...though Im sure by the end of the semester we can cure her from the second.

The girls also brought a bunch of boys from there hometown out here to have fun with that. We all hung out last night and they seem really cool and super fun.

All in all I think that its gonna be an awesome semester!
